You book. We take care of the details.

Secure your place with a deposit and choose your available payment plan. Once you're booked, we'll share everything you need to prepare, from packing lists and travel guides to practical tips and what to expect along the way.

Meet your village

Good company starts before the journey.

Before we go, you'll join your private VillageAway group and connect with the people you'll be travelling with. Ask questions, share plans, get excited, and get to know your fellow travellers before departure. Where planned, we'll also bring everyone together for a pre-trip meet-up so you can feel more prepared and connected before the adventure begins.

Meet the founders

Two moms. A bigger village.

We’re Josie and Lynn, two moms who still want to see the world.

Becoming mothers changed our lives, but it didn’t take away our curiosity, our love for adventure, or our desire to discover new places.

We created VillageAway because we believe becoming a parent doesn’t mean putting your dreams on hold, and our little ones don’t have to be left behind.

They belong in the adventure too.

What started with a love for travelling with our children has grown into something bigger: a community built around meaningful experiences, new connections, and the joy of discovering the world together.

Whether you’re travelling with your little one, setting off on a women’s getaway, or making memories with your family, there’s a place for you here.

VillageAway is about more than getting from one destination to another. We thoughtfully curate experiences that bring people together through travel, whether you’re exploring with your little one, enjoying a getaway with other women, or making memories with your family.

What is VillageAway?+

VillageAway is a travel community built around connection, discovery and shared experiences. We curate getaways for parents and their little ones, women looking to explore together, and families who want to make meaningful memories. Every trip is thoughtfully planned to help you discover beautiful places and connect with your people.

Do I need to know someone to join a trip?+

Not at all! Many group trips are designed to bring people together, including solo travellers who want to meet like-minded people along the way. You'll have the opportunity to connect with your fellow travellers before departure through our private trip group.

Do I have to travel with my child?+

No. It depends on the trip you choose. Our Mommy & Me getaways are designed for parents travelling with their little ones, while our women-only escapes are for women looking to enjoy an adventure together. Each trip listing explains who the experience is designed for.

What ages of children can join?+

Age requirements vary by trip, destination and activities. Check the individual trip page for the recommended ages and any specific requirements before booking.

What is included in the trip price?+

Inclusions vary by getaway. Depending on the trip, your package may include accommodation, selected meals, ground transfers, planned activities and a VillageAway host. Check the trip's inclusions and exclusions carefully so you know exactly what you're paying for.

How do I reserve my spot?+

Choose your preferred getaway, review the trip details and complete the booking process on our website. You can secure your place with the required deposit and select from the payment options available for that trip.

Can I pay in instalments?+

Yes, where instalment payments are offered. Available payment plans, instalment amounts and due dates will be displayed during booking. Please make sure you review the payment schedule before confirming your reservation.

Can I have my own room, or do I have to share?+

Room options depend on the trip. Some getaways offer shared rooms, private rooms or both. Where available, you can select your preferred option during booking. Any private-room supplement will be shown before you confirm.

What happens after I book?+

You'll receive your booking confirmation and the next steps for your trip. As departure approaches, we'll share relevant preparation information, which may include packing lists, travel guidance, itinerary details and access to your private trip group.

Will someone from VillageAway accompany us?+

Our trips are planned with your experience in mind, and a VillageAway host may accompany the group depending on the getaway. Check the individual trip page to see what hosting and on-the-ground support are included.
